Repair Putty + Tons of Repair Applications for Your RV

Cooktop & stove knobs can become brittle and break, especially if they are located close to the heat source. In our 2015 Entegra Aspire we’ve replaced our knobs a number of times and calling up to order new knobs started getting old fast. Instead of buying costly knobs that end up just breaking again, we came up with a fix that has lasted us for over 6 months with no signs of giving up anytime soon. We used a metal reinforced moldable epoxy called Quiksteel and it did the trick!

Can Repair Putty Be Used For Anything Else?

QuikSteel Repair Putty is great and should be in every RV’rs toolbox. You can fix a variety of failures, mending cracks, reinforcing weak joints and more. Not only is it super strong and malleable, it can be sanded and painted after hardening allowing it to be used in areas where appearance is just as important as strength. It works on plastic, metal, wood and sets in just a few minutes making it a great solution for tons of repairs around your RV.

Ok I’ll bite. I looked (disclaimer, I tend to miss the obvious) but your video teases us with the question, can this be a proactive fix? Not seeing an answer so, can it?

    Thanks for an excellent video,

    • Hey Bill, well I don’t see why not but unfortunately we waiting and all our knobs broke before we could find out if putting some putty around them before would have done any good. That said I don’t see why not, that stuff is hard like a rock! Best of luck and if you decide to give it a try let us know how you make out!
